General Terms

We bring yoga and meditation classes to the General Community and to Private Individual and Workplace/Corporate/Special interest groups in the following ways:

1. A small selection of weekly Scheduled In Studio Community (Face-to-Face) Classes from our Nicholls Studio. These classes are Term-based, with each term going for 8 weeks and class sizes limited to 8 participants excluding the teacher (in accordance with 1 person per 4 sqm rule)

2.  A small selection of weekly Scheduled Online Community (Live Stream) Classes taught from our Nicholls Studio. The classes are Term-based, with class sizes limited to 100 participants

3.  Private (Face-to-Face) Classes for Individual Clients and Corporate/Workplace/Special Interest Groups with our Mobile Studio (or held in our Nicholls Studio outside our advertised class schedule). These classes can be held any time of the year, with class sizes depending on the size of the venue (in accordance with 1 person per 4 sqm rule)

4.  Private Online (Live Stream) Classes for Individual Clients and Corporate/Workplace/Special Interest Groups held at a mutually convenient time and taught from the Nicholls Studio. These classes can be held any time of the year, with class sizes limited to 100 participants

 

Scheduled Classes 

Our Scheduled Classes in NICHOLLS are term-based. Each term goes for 8 weeks and there are 4 terms per year (generally corresponding with ACT school terms):

TERM 1 2020: Monday 17 Feb – Sunday 12 April (8 weeks)
TERM 2 2020: Monday 11 May – Sunday 5 July (8 weeks)
TERM 3 2020: Monday 3 August – Sunday 27 September (8 weeks)
TERM 4 2020: Monday 26 October – Sunday 20 December (8 weeks)

Each term TTY will offer a small selection of In-Studio Community (Face-to-Face) and Online Community (Live Stream) classes at the studio. All classes need to be pre-paid and pre-booked online. Dropping in to a class will not be permitted during Term 2. All Students must register, pay and book online to join:

1A.     TO JOIN A  SCHEDULED IN-STUDIO COMMUNITY (FACE-TO-FACE) CLASS IN TERM 2:

·      click on any of the links to our booking system and follow the instructions to REGISTER (set up a new user account) or LOG IN with your current user name and password.

·      Select the class you wish to attend.

·      Purchase your pass. Please note the system will only allow you to book into a class once you have paid for a pass, and classes are limited to 8 people plus the teacher.

1B.     TO JOIN A SCHEDULED IN-STUDIO COMMUNITY (FACE-TO-FACE) CLASS IN FUTURE TERMS:

·      We normally invite EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST leading up to each new term. Classes will only go ahead if we have enough student numbers.  All classes are pre-paid prior to the start of each term and expire at the end of each term.  Missed classes can be made up for by attending a different class on schedule during the current term. Refer to Class Schedule to see our current classes on offer. Then Contact Us to register your name for the class and we will be in touch with full enrolment details.

PLEASE NOTE: We are currently taking EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST FOR TERM 3 for the following face-to-face classes:

Yoga Flow* (Medium to High Intensity) OR Yoga Basics* (Low to Medium Intensity)
Mondays, 7-8PM
*please indicate which style you prefer

Relax & Restore (Low Intensity)
Wednesdays, 7-8PM

Unlock & Lengthen (Low to Medium Intensity)
Thursdays, 6.10-7.10PM

Please CONTACT US to add your name to a Scheduled Community (Face-to-Face) class of your choice in Term 3.

2.  TO JOIN A SCHEDULED COMMUNITY (ONLINE) LIVE-STREAM CLASS

·      Select the class you wish to attend.

·      Purchase your pass.

·      Book your class. Please note the system will only allow you to book into a class once you have paid for a pass, and classes are limited to 100 people.

Private Classes 

Throughout the year TTY will offer Private (Face-to-Face) and Private Online (Live Stream)  classes for Individual Clients and Corporate/Workplace/Special Interest Groups. Private classes are tailored to your specifications and can start anytime of the year, with class sizes depending on the size of the venue (in accordance with 1 person per 4 sqm rule)

Payment Methods 

Payment for Term Passes and Casual Visits online and in-studio are available online only via the Paypal payment gateway prior to booking and all major credit/debit cards are accepted.

Payment for Mobile Studio, Private/Corporate groups, live-streamed classes and class recordings are by invoice. Payment options are bank transfer or card payment over the phone* (via the Paypal payment gateway) and all major credit/debit cards are accepted.

All Card Payments in studio or over the phone incur a surcharge ranging from 1.95% for insert/swipe transacttions to 2.9% + 0.30 surcharge for manual entries.

Refund Policy

All classes, including course enrolments, are non-refundable. Missed classes cannot be carried over into a new term, however if you miss a class, you can attend a different class on schedule during the current term to make it up (subject to space in the class).  Students are encouraged to use the online booking system to cancel and book in for classes.

In the case of illness, replacement classes, including course enrolments, may in some cases be offered during the following term (less any classes attended) upon presentation of a doctor’s certificate. This will be managed and negotiated on a case by case basis.

Cancellation Policy

If you can’t make it to a class you have enrolled in, as a courtesy to your teacher (to assist with set up and preparation) and to allow other students to book in for missed or additional classes, please cancel via our online booking system at least 2 hours prior to class start time. Alternatively you can text or ring us on 0409 329 887.

Momoyoga App

Our booking system offers the convenience of booking classes from any computer/laptop/device by logging into your user account at www.momoyoga.com or from a smart phone with the Momoyoga App!

The Momoyoga App is freely available for download in the App Store and Google Play. The App allows you to view the online timetable and book and cancel classes. (but not buy passes or classes).

Drop in Policy

Dropping in to a class will not be permitted during Term 2.All Students must register, pay and book online to join.

Handy (COVID-Safe) Hints for In Studio Classes

Please arrive 10 minutes before class starts to allow enough time to sign in  and settle into your space in a relaxed way.

Keep the teacher well informed about any injuries, health conditions or concerns which may affect your practice, including pregnancy. Let us know before class, not after, and keep reminding us! Keep in mind that yoga practice should always be done under supervision of a health physician if there are health-related circumstances.

If you have a sore throat, cough, fever or are feeling unwell, please canceldo not come to class.

On arrival: Clean your hands with the hand sanitizer by the door upon entry

Mats & Props: During Covid-19 and aftermath – please bring your own mat and place it over the mat provided in the studio to mark out your mat space and ensure appropriate physical distancing is observed. Bring one or two large blankets or towels to place over our props if you are using them. If you have your own bolster, block/s and/or strap please bring them along. The studio is hiring out a limited supply of props for a monthly fee if you need it. If you have to borrow any of our studio props, please cover them completely and clean them thoroughly with the antibacterial spray and wipes provided, after each use.

Respect other students space (keeping a safe physical distance of 1.5 metres) before, during and after each class.

Wear comfortable, non-restrictive clothing in breathable or quick-dry fabrics and something to cover up with at the end of the class.

Remove shoes as you enter and store bags and personal belongings well out of the way of our practice space (in Nicholls, place your shoes outside the studio door, and other belongings in the storage unit next to the registration desk.

Yoga is practiced barefoot (or you can wear non-slip socks).

Switch off or mute mobile phones during class.

Please refrain from wearing strong perfumes & fragrances.

Practice on an empty stomach, ideally 2-3 hours after your last meal.

Stay hydrated. Hydrate well before and after class. Drink water or electrolytes to keep muscles supple and assist with the elimination of toxins.

Keep a growth (as opposed to fixed) mindset about your practice. Respect your body’s limitations: rest/modify when needed, yet be open to exploring your amazing possibilities!

If you need to leave early, try to spend at least 2-3 minutes in Savasana (corpse/relaxation pose) first, regardless what the rest of the class is doing.

On departure: Wipe down your own mats and surrounding floor using the antibacterial spray, wipes and paper towels provided by the studio after each class. Clean your hands with the hand sanitizer by the door when leaving the studio.

Most of all…Have FUN and don’t be afraid to ask questions or provide feedback

Keep practicing! Expect to be sore. The more you practice, the better you will feel.  A regular yoga practice is recommended to receive the full benefits

Handy Hints for Online Classes

Please log in 5-10 minutes before class start time to allow enough time to settle into your space in a relaxed way.

Make sure you have a yoga or exercise mat with a good grip

If you have props such as a strap, bolster or yoga block/brick please have them available (or you can create makeshift props by using a fabric belt for a strap; 1 or 2 firm pillows wrapped up in a beach towel as a bolster and/or something firm which can provide support in place of a block.These are not essential but can be very helpful in enhancing your class experience.

If possible, please set up your mat (and props) in a room with some empty wall space. We can get creative and use the wall as a prop for some of our poses, which is both fun and relaxing and a great aid to learning alignment and providing support for some poses.

By registering and attending classes at our studio you are agreeing to our disclaimer/indemnity clause:

I understand that the instructors at Tidy Temple Yoga cannot provide medical advice.  I understand that it is my responsibility to practice within my personal limits and to decide whether or not to follow the advice and guidance provided by the yoga instructor.

I agree to check with my Health Professional / General Practitioner before practicing yoga if I am unsure. I agree to keep my yoga instructor up-to-date and well informed about any injuries and/or health concerns I have.

I hereby agree to the following on behalf of myself and the children under my care:

1. That I am participating in yoga classes offered by Tidy Temple Yoga and designated representatives (Teachers).

2. I recognise that those under my care, including myself, must be in adequate physical and mental health to participate in yoga classes (Activity). I understand that the Activity may require physical exertion, and I represent and warrant that I/we are physically fit enough to participate and I/we have no medical condition which would prevent our full participation in the Activities. I recognise that the Activities may cause or aggravate a physical or medical condition. I understand that it is my responsibility to consult with a physician before our participation in the Activities. If I have done so, I have taken the physician’s advice. I understand that the Teacher reserves the right to refuse our participation in any Activities on medical, fitness or any other grounds.

3. I am aware that our participation in the Activities could result in high blood pressure, fainting, heartbeat disorders, physical injury, heart attack or stroke and may aggravate pre-existing injuries. I understand that anyone under my care, including myself, could experience muscle, back, neck and other injuries as a result of my participation in the Activities. We understand our physical limitations and I am sufficiently self-aware to stop or modify our participation in any Activity before we become injured or aggravate a pre-existing injury.

4. In consideration of being permitted to participate in the Activities, I agree to assume full responsibility for any risks, injuries or damages, known and unknown, which those under my care, including myself, might incur as a result of participating in the Activities.

5. In further consideration of being permitted to participate in the Activities, I knowingly, voluntarily and expressly waive any “Claim” (as defined below) I may have against the Teacher (“Released Party”) that I may sustain as a result of participating in the Activities.
I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Released Party from any loss, cost, or liability incurred in defending any Claim made by me or anyone making a Claim on my behalf. “Claim” includes but is not limited to any and all liabilities, claims, demands, expenses, fees, legal actions, rights of actions for damages, personal injury, mental suffering and distress, or death that those under my care or I may suffer, my spouse, children or unborn child(ren) may suffer (including any legal fees or expenses) in connection with participation in any Activity.
